Japanese Knotweed Removal in Holloway, N7

Japanese Knotweed removal and advice by Local Chartered Surveyors and PCA members covering Holloway, N7 and the surrounding areas.

Interesting fact about Holloway… The origins of the name are disputed; some believe that it derives from Hollow, or Hollow way, due to a dip in the road caused by the passage of animals and water erosion, as this was the main cattle driving route from the North into Smithfield.   In 2006 Arsenal Football Club moved to a new stadium at Ashburton Grove in Holloway. It was informally known as Ashburton Grove until a naming rights deal with Emirates was announced, and that name is still used by some people. It has an all-seated capacity of 60,355, making it the second biggest stadium in the Premiership after Old Trafford and the third biggest in London after Wembley Stadium and Twickenham Stadium.

As the only Japanese Knotweed removal company and consultancy in the UK regulated by the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and to hold full Property Care Association (PCA) accreditation (Invasive Weed Control Group), CYB Environmental are the most trusted company in the treatment, control  and removal of Japanese Knotweed.

Mortgage Issues

We have Chartered Surveyors, Valuation Surveyors and Panel Surveyors in house who currently work for the majority of the UK major lenders. As experts in this field, let us take the unwanted complication away.

Guarantee Promise

We are proud to provide a 5 year guarantee (free of charge) with all of our treatment programmes.  A 10 year insurance backed guarantee can also be provided.

The majority of the UK major lenders will refuse to lend against a property if their surveyor identifies Japanese knotweed at a property you are purchasing, selling or even re-mortgaging, especially if it is located within seven metres of a habitable space. This is due to the aggressive nature of the plant and potential damage it can cause to the building, consequently severely affecting the value of the property.

Although conditions will vary from lender to lender, in practice lenders will generally want to see evidence of an initial treatment and a commitment by the owner/purchaser of the property to fund in advance the treatment programme along with a 5-10 year insurance backed guarantee.

With Chartered Surveyors (full members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and Valuation Surveyors in house currently working directly for the majority of the UK major lenders, we are perfectly placed to deal and act upon their individual requirements to ensure they are able to lend against the property.
